 Our desire at First Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon, is that every member attends an Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF). We want you to try out each ABF and find out which one is a good fit for you. ABF's are a great place to connect with others experiencing the same life stage you are, discover other's faith stories, and uncover Biblical truths that will impact your life and your walk with Christ.
WHAT IS ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIP?
Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) assists adults in becoming fully developing followers of Christ, by providing small groups with similar ages, interests, and/or family structures meeting for interactive Bible study, connected through fellowship, organized for care, involved in ministry service and growing through accountability.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND ABF?
Sometimes we can get lost in a large crowd. At First Baptist Church, our Adult Bible Fellowships are small communities within our body of believers. They are the ministering arm of our organization that keeps our growing church "small". Each ABF is designed to enrich your life through solid relationships and exciting Bible teaching. An ABF is a great place to find support and biblical help in our confusing world.
Another great thing is you do not have to be a member of First Baptist Church to attend an ABF. You are free to come as often as you like and choose the fellowship which fits you best. So be our guest this Sunday morning!
What time do the ABF's Begin?

9:00 A.M. ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIPS AVAILABLE
SHINING LIGHTS BIBLE FELLOWSHIP (Matthew 5:16)
This ABF meets each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. on the main floor in the library. This fellowship is lead by Ted Robertson and is designed for mature believers. They enjoy fellowships & serving the church in various ways.
HERITAGE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP (Psalm 119:111)
This fellowship meets on our second floor at 9:00 a.m. every Sunday morning. David Crockett is the facilitator and he leads a lively discussion each week. If you like a challenge and lively debate, this ABF is for you.
L.I.F.E. BIBLE FELLOWSHIP (John 10:10)
L.I.F.E., Life Instructions for Everyone, is led by John Rutledge, is full of life and couples with younger children. They meet each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. on the second floor and enjoy fellowships and outdoor activities.
B.Y.K.O.T.A. BIBLE FELLOWSHIP (Ephesians 4:32)
Be Ye Kind One To Another (B.Y.K.O.T.A.), is lead by Max Springer and meets each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. in the Library classroom and enjoys food and fellowships with in-depth Bible study.
THE EDGE BIBLE FELLOWSHIP (John 10:10)
This fellowship is comprised of singles & couples 20 to 30 years of age. Cliff Brown leads this study and tackles a variety of issues and topics that relate to college aged individuals and young couples. They meet each Sunday morning at 9:00 a.m. on the main floor.
10:30 A.M. ADULT BIBLE FELLOWSHIPS AVAILABLE
THE BEREAN BIBLE FELLOWSHIP (Acts 17:10-11)
This ABF meets each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. in the Parlor on the main floor. This fellowship features solid Bible based teaching and is designed for mature believers. Wayne Conway leads this ABF.
SOLID ROCK BIBLE FELLOWSHIP (Matthew 7:24-25)
Made up of a combination of empty nesters, parents of teenagers, and other in similar life stages, this fellowship offers changes to serve the church and the community in a variety of ways. They meet on the second floor each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. and are led by Brian Daugherty.
VICTORY BIBLE FELLOWSHIP (1 Corinthians 15:57)
Victory through Jesus Christ is the theme here each Sunday morning with an emphasis on real life application. Mike Craver leads this fellowship each Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. on the main floor in the Library classroom.
